Itsy is made by Pauram LLC. It helps you find affordable food nearby, and it's designed to collect only what it needs to do that. We never sell your data.

What Itsy collects

To run your account and your wallet, Itsy collects and links to you: your email address, a user ID, your precise location when you turn on location features, and your deal activity (the deals you view, clip and redeem). It's used to show you nearby deals, keep your clipped coupons and savings history, and let businesses validate the codes you redeem.

No tracking

Itsy doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and it doesn't share your data with data brokers.

Location

Location is only used while location features are on, to find deals near you, work out the gas cost of a trip, and give you turn-by-turn directions inside Itsy. Routes, maps and street views come from Apple Maps, which receives the start and end of a route but not who you are. You can turn location off anytime in iOS Settings.

Gas prices

The gas price and miles per gallon you enter stay on your iPhone. Itsy may download the weekly U.S. average gas price from the U.S. Energy Information Administration; that request doesn't include anything about you.

Budget, household and allergies

Your budget, household size, SNAP/EBT amount, favorite foods and allergies are used to personalize your deals and plans. You can change or clear them in Profile.

Free food help

If you turn on free food help, that choice stays on your iPhone. It isn't sent to Pauram or shared with anyone. To show food pantries, free meals and benefits offices near you, Itsy searches Apple Maps around your location, the same way it does for deals.

"I'm hungry" beacon and meal gifts

When you light the beacon, Itsy sends Pauram your state, city, a rough area (your location rounded to about 1 km) and a random ID for your phone, so each phone gets one neighbor-paid meal a day. Your name, account, and exact location are never sent. A meal code is shown only on your phone; Pauram stores it only in a scrambled form so a partner can check it. Beacon records are deleted after 90 days.

If you buy meals for neighbors, Stripe processes the payment. Pauram receives your email for the receipt and the number of meals, never your card details, and never tells anyone who received your meals.

AI features

Itsy's AI is Pauram Intelligence, which runs on your iPhone. On devices that support it, it also uses Apple's on-device language model. Your questions, scans and receipts are processed on your iPhone and are not sent to Pauram to answer them. Some features, such as AI Hunter's deal search, send your request to Itsy's servers to find matching deals.

Apple Health

If you choose Connect Apple Health in Itsy, it reads the protein, sugar and calories you've logged today to tailor food suggestions. Itsy never writes to Health, never uses Health data for advertising, and never shares it. You can turn access off anytime in the Health app.

Camera, microphone and photos

The camera scans barcodes, labels and receipts, and the photos you pick are read on your iPhone to find savings. When you ask Budget Brain by voice, Apple's speech recognition turns your words into text. Itsy only uses these when you start a scan or a voice request.

Notifications, widgets and Lock Screen

Price-drop alerts and deal reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. Widgets and Lock Screen countdowns show your savings and saved deals from data kept on your device.

Purchases

Itsy Premium is bought through Apple. To check your subscription, Itsy uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app ID and your purchase history, never your payment details.

Businesses

When you redeem a deal, Itsy confirms the coupon code and the deal with the business so it can be honored.

Launch notice on this website

If you sign up to hear about the launch, we save only your email address and the date, to send one email when Itsy is released. We delete the list after that email. It is never shared or sold.

Children

Itsy is not directed to children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their personal information.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, clear your preferences, or ask us to delete your account and data by emailing support@pauram.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
