Feed a neighbor

Buy a meal for someone nearby who's hungry

When someone taps "I'm hungry" in Itsy, the app finds free food near them and gives them a meal a neighbor paid for. They show a one-time code at a local partner restaurant and eat. You never see who, they never see you.

How many meals?

Questions

Where does my money go?

For each meal, the partner restaurant is paid the meal value when it serves the meal. The small difference helps cover card processing fees.

Who gets the meals?

Anyone near you who opens Itsy and taps "I'm hungry." Itsy doesn't ask why. Each phone can get one meal a day, and codes expire after 48 hours so unused meals go to the next family.

Will anyone see my name?

No. The person who eats never learns who paid, and you never learn who ate. Itsy keeps only a city and a rough area for each beacon, never a name or exact location.

Can I get a tax receipt?

Pauram LLC isn't a nonprofit, so meals bought here aren't tax-deductible. To give a tax-deductible gift, give to your local food bank directly.

I run a restaurant. Can I take part?

Yes. List your business, then turn on "Accept Itsy meal credits" in the Itsy business portal. You can also post free surplus meals for beacon users.
