Privacy Policy

NailedBid helps contractors create quotes, get paid, and market their work. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account info from Sign in with Apple (an anonymous Apple ID, and your name/email if you choose to share them).
- Business info you enter: business name, trade, rates, contact details, logo and portfolio photos.
- Job info you enter: client names and contact details, job photos and videos, quotes, invoices, payments, expenses and receipts.
- Location, while you use the supplier map and, during turn-by-turn directions you start, in the background so spoken directions keep working with the screen locked. It isn't stored on our servers.
- Calendar: if you turn on "iPhone calendars", NailedBid reads your calendar events on your iPhone to show them next to your jobs. They never leave your device. Adding a job or appointment to your calendar only writes that one event.
- Coupons and appointments you save, including coupon photos you choose to upload.
- NFC: NailedBid only writes your business card link to a blank NFC card when you ask it to. It doesn't read other tags.
- Tax records you keep in the Taxes screen: expenses, income, business mileage, estimated tax payments and subcontractor (1099) details. They're used only to show your totals and build the files you choose to send your accountant.
- In-person payments: when you use Tap to Pay on iPhone, Stripe's payment software collects your approximate location and how the payment screen was used, as card networks require. It isn't linked to your identity and isn't used for ads.
- Client responses: when a client views, signs, pays, or reviews a quote.
- Clients and repeat jobs: the client list is built from the client details on your quotes, plus any notes you add. Repeat jobs copy a job on the schedule you choose.
- Crew and time clock: your crew members' names, phone numbers and pay rates, and the times they clock in and out. Each crew member's private link shows them the jobs you assign them, including the client's name and job address, so they can get there. Turning a crew member off stops their link.
- Payment reminders: when an invoice is overdue we remind you, or text your client if you turn that on, and add the late fee you set.
- Launch sign-up on our website: if you ask us to tell you when NailedBid launches, we keep only your email address and the date. We send one launch email and then delete the list.
How we use it
To run the app: generate quotes, show client pages, process payments, send the notifications you ask for, and calculate your business insights. Job photos and descriptions are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to draft quotes, posts and price research; they aren't used to train AI models. When you choose Apple Intelligence, that work happens on your iPhone (or Apple's Private Cloud Compute) and isn't sent to us or Anthropic. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see full card numbers.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data or your clients' data, and we don't show ads.
Sharing
Only with the services that make NailedBid work (hosting, Anthropic for AI, Stripe for payments, Apple for notifications, and Twilio if you turn on automatic texts), or when required by law.
Your choices
You can edit or delete any quote, and delete your whole account from the app's settings. Deleting your account removes your data from our servers.
